eHealth/Welfare Tech
We are happy to announce Jens Andersen, Sales Director Ascom Nordic as Chair of the eHealth/Welfare Tech Working Group.
Jens Andersen says; “Healthcare thinking needs to change in the Nordic! The number of senior people is growing relatively to the population, more diseases need to be treated and better service is expected. Accordingly, the pressure on our Healthcare system is growing dramatically these years and innovation and technology needs to play a major role in supporting the demand for change.”

The purpose of the TNA eHealth group is to create an active network of Healthcare Influencers, Entrepreneurs and Investors to share opportunities, innovation and create a common voice for lowering of market barriers and speed-up the digitalization of Healthcare.

We need your help to reach out to more Healthcare Start-ups and relevant influencers so we can grow the TNA Healthcare working group.

For further information and announcement of first meeting in the group, check out the eHealth/Welfare Tech Working Space on Podio!

Latest Partner News
D Young & Co
World IP Day is celebrated annually on Tuesday 26 April and this year’s theme was Digital Creativity. In honour of this, D Young & Co has written an article on the importance of IP protection for the members of Tech Nordic Advocates. Intellectual Property (IP) is a legal concept which refers to ‘creations of the mind’ such as musical, literary and artistic works, inventions, words, phrases, symbols and designs. IP law grants owners certain exclusive rights to these intangible assets. Whatever your product or service and whether a start up or SME, it is highly likely that your business is regularly generating or using intellectual property (IP). For a SME using innovation to secure growth, intellectual property is a core asset. Managing your IP is about enabling opportunity and mitigating risk. [Click here to read the full article]

Gillamor Stephens
Gillamor Stephens has seen a fast start to the year, with start-ups and corporates busy hiring across Europe. A role we have seen rise in importance, with many companies hiring this for the first time, is the VP Product. A role accountable for product management, the roadmap and vision, and critically the bridge between engineering and sales. The latter is one of the main drivers for creating or hiring this role as companies’ focus on selling what they can build and building what they can sell. Sounds simple, but this has been the downfall of many. We are hiring three VP Products at present across software, semiconductors and M2M/IoT systems. Do you have a VP Product? Local to the Nordics, we recently interviewed Tim Weller, Chairman of TrustPilot one of the most exciting companies in the region. Click HERE to see the full article. He talks about internationalisation, hiring the right team and fund raising. And finally, one to watch…Indoor Atlas continues to prove the sceptics wrong with their high accuracy indoor location platform that uses data gathered from anomalies in the earth’s magnetic field unique to every building. They now have commercial trials with Yahoo! Japan, SK Telekom and Baidu in China. We hired Dan Paton as CCO last year and the company is flying!

Venture Cup
Venture Cup is a common platform for all Danish universities from which entrepreneurs, among the students of tomorrow, are identified and supported.

Venture Cup hosts two national and one international competition annually. They run Scandinavia’s largest mentor program for university students with more than 300 mentors from the business community and a Startup Booster Program, a pre-accelerator program, with products and services to hand-picked startups.

IP Expo Nordic
With six top IT technologies under ONE roof, 100+ exhibitors and 100+ free to attend seminar sessions, IP EXPO Nordic is the must-attend IT event of the year for CIOs, heads of IT, security specialists, heads of insight and tech experts.

The Capital Region of Denmark
FinTech is top of the agenda in Copenhagen, with focus on creating unique conditions for developing and supporting FinTech in Copenhagen, attracting investments and supporting FinTech Startups. For an overview of the FinTech Scene, Copenhagen Capacity has published a brilliant guide FinTech Copenhagen
