30 Jun HOT June Nordic/Baltic Tech News, Events and Opportunities

Hello all and Welcome to our latest newsletter…

☀️ We hope you are having a good summer so far and have scheduled some time to relax and refresh – with a nice stay-cation or maybe even an overseas trip to Covid-safe soft sands and quiet beaches?

Things are looking more positive for H2 2021, so now we are starting to have more face-to-face meetings, planning “real life” events for the autumn, and expanding our partnerships in order to bring the tech ecosystem more closer together than ever before.

? Unfortunately, we cannot talk about sunny hot days, without acknowledging the changes that are happening to our climate and the role that tech plays in helping to improve the issues we are facing on this planet. We, at Tech Nordic Advocates, help address these challenges by supporting clean-tech and sustainability focussed startups, but are also pleased to be working on two other major initiatives – Tech for Net Zero and Hack for Earth, and we invite you to learn more about these projects and to get involved. More to follow on those, below…so let’s get straight to the updates, and tell you more about our highlights and plans…

“WOMEN IN TECH” COMMUNITY. LATEST NEWS…

We’re incredibly excited about the HUGE progress all the women-in-tech founders on our international mentoring programme are making, impressing everyone, including our funding and strategic partners. So much so that we have just had confirmation of funding to launch the next stages of the Programme, starting January 2022… no we’re not telling you more just yet… all will be revealed at our celebratory event on 22 September 15.00-18.00 at the Copenhagen Town Hall, hosted by the Mayor of Copenhagen. The event will be attended by over 200 people (yes – face-to-face!), who are all making a HUGE contribution to the Programme – mentors, experts, investors, ecosystem stakeholders, Ambassadors and lots more prominent people determined to do their bit to improve women-in-tech entrepreneurship, innovation and contribution to (equality in) business and society.

The goal is to bring people and organisations from all over the world together to find real solutions to the 17 global goals. All 190+ participating countries at the upcoming world exhibition Expo2020, and their citizens, are invited to join the Hack for Earth.
