In the last month the Nordics and Baltics have been full of amazing activities, with many large and small “online” conferences, hackathons, presentations and discussions, happening across the region. We see this continuing into 2021, as the Covid crisis continues, and are committed to creating our own content, as well as being active with our own and partner events. LATEST NEWS ABOUT US…  ? Officially Swedish too….


It’s official ?- TNA is also now officially registered in Sweden! Huge thanks, once again, to our business member and legal partner Magnusson Law  for all their brilliant help to get us officially landed on the ground in Sweden. Also, a big thank you to Invest Stockholm for their advice, along the way.

 

 


Barry O’Brien, our Board member for Sweden since 2018, will take on the additional role of MD (VD i Sverige) and continue to do his great work of connecting Swedish startups and the tech communities with investors, partners, the rest of the Nordics/Baltics and the UK, as Brexit looms. We are really looking forward to more of all that, as we ramp up in Sweden

In The Press… ??

We have, once again, been featured in Berlingske (in Danish), highlighting the results of our startup ecosystem survey. Some key findings from the survey (sadly) were:

  • 54% of startups expect to be in survival mode for the next 6 months
  • 47% of startups expect COVID to threaten the viability of their companies
  • Access to funding (29%), prioritising what to focus on (29%) and access to international markets (25%) are the top three ways COVID is challenging startups right now
  • The top three ways Tech Nordic Advocates can best help startups right now are: access to investors (50%), access to mentors/advisers (36%), help to navigate international markets (29%)

GLOBAL TECH ADVOCATES (GTA) NEWS


Our Board Member and CENTI Group founder, John Zai, invited Russ Shaw to represent the UK Pavilion at the 2020 Pujiang Innovation Forum and the INNO-MATCH EXPO Opening Ceremony, in Shanghai. Russ spoke in a video speech, about UK and China Tech Collaboration.
