30 Apr HOT April Nordic/Baltic Tech News, Events and Opportunities

Hello all and Welcome to our latest newsletter…

? April has been a great month for us, and the Nordic and Baltic tech region as a whole, with new reports featured in top business publications such as Bloomberg, showing four of our focus cities – Stockholm, Espoo, Helsinki and Malmö, in the top 15 European Startup hubs, based on 2020 investment. This is fantastic exposure for the ecosystem, which we are proud to live and work in, as it highlights how attractive this region is – to stay in, or to come and be a part of, as you start or scale up your business.

There’s even been news of a potential tunnel being built between Finland and Estonia, which would be fantastic for future tech growth – opening up opportunities for talent to live and work in new places, and investment to flow more easily.

? Talking of press coverage – we have also been featured in some news articles this month, from Computer Weekly and Helsinki Business Hub – more on that below.

As always, we have a lot more startup and scaleup support, great events, partnerships and action-based initiatives planned, so let’s get straight to the updates…

IMPORTANT STUFF FROM OUR PARTNERS TO SUPPORT YOUR GROWTH

Magnusson Corporate M&A Partner, Nikolaj Juhl Hansen‘s talk for us on  “How will foreign investments in the Danish tech-sector be impacted by new Danish rules for investment screening?” was very informative and well received

With its proposal for a new system to screen and approve foreign investments, the Danish government, and others in the EU, are adding a significant level of complexity for foreign investors looking to fund start-ups and scale-ups. Would this change affect you? We will be scheduling a repeat of this webinar due to demand. Stay tuned.
