Latest from the Working Groups

Smart City/IOT Working Group
On 11-12 April, some 100 Advocates and friends came together to launch #SmarterCitiesNOW: A Sustainable Urban Development Forum – our new 3 year Nordic/Baltic/UK Smarter Cities Collaboration Programme, which aims to progress work towards smarter, sustainable cities, through smarter working, working together to knowledge share, progress thinking and develop shared solutions across cities and countries, rather than reinvent the same wheel in different cities. Thank you to everyone who attended and helped shape the lively debates, roundtable discussions and first phase of the #SmarterCitiesNOW work programme.

To those of you unable to attend the launch, click here for #SmarterCitiesNOW objectives and launch event programme. #SmarterCitiesNOW responds to your requests for smart collaboration in our recent survey. Get involved!

At the launch event, participants from the Nordics, Baltics and UK worked together at themed roundtables to identify the key challenges they would like the #SmarterCitiesNOW programme to address (see image). A total of 33 challenges were identified.
